EUGENE RICHARD CARL We, the class of '63, dedicate the Middiette to our former teacher and friend, Mr. Carl. We enjoyed the informal class discussions which were sometimes centered around our personal problems. Literature, English, and vocabulary were made interesting. We learned the meaning of hard work in his class, but it was enjoyable work. When Mr. Carl first came to Middlebury, he said that we were like baby pronouns. We hope that we have fulfilled his dream and that we are now proper nouns. We would like to express our appreciation to Mr. Carl for all his help by dedicating the Middiette to him.

The members of this board serve at a job which demands a sacrifice of time and energies, an excellent example of unselfish civic service. This group fulfills their duties to the taxpayers of this community and maintains a policy of continuous improvement in the Middlebury Community School System.
