BAND The Band consists of 41 members of the high school and junior high school. We are very proud to have Mr. Vincent Stouder as our director. We have five seniors that are in the Band this year but the majority of the Band is very young. The Band has marched at basketball games and played for the public at some concerts. We try to please the community as much as we can and by doing this we become more and more skilled with our instruments. The high-light of the Band this year is the district and state contests. CONCERT CHOIR The Concert Choir Is made up of twenty-five boys and thirty-three girls who are directed by Mrs. Saia. This was Mrs. Sala s first year at Middlebury and she has worked very hard trying to make the Choir a good one. The Choir sang for convocations on several occasions and participated in the Christmas pagaent. Several concerts were given by the Choir during the school year. On October 27, twenty-three Choir members took part in a chorus at North Central High School in South Bend under the direction of Or. Harry Wilson of Columbia University. The cafeteria staff consists of workers who have answered the call for voluntary service at the beginning of the school year. SCRAPE THAT PLATE! WIPE THAT PAN! CAFETERIA HELP Among the duties are: disposing of the trays as the students bring them, scraping off the uneaten food, rinsing the plates before putting them through the dishwasher, wiping and putting away the dishes, cleaning the tables in the lunchroom, and trying to get all the dishes done before the noon bell rings. The Projectionists’ Club is an organization of boys who voluntarily offered to leam how to operate the movie projector. To show their gratitude to the school for helping them to learn how to run the projector they show all the educational movies in the classes. Another duty of the projectionists is to show noon movies to the student body. THE FILM MUST GO ON! PROJECTIONS CLUB
