D is for 'Ducky' She plays in the band And as a twirler She's best in the land. H is for Hershy' She 's really a brain Just call her your friend She 's as good as Mark Twain. G is for Gibby He's really a show I'm sure you' ll agree That we should all know. N is for Neva What shall we say? She 's really a pal In every way. P is for Pat Who's friendly and true Just be her friend And she'll be yours, too. M is for Mary Merry and gay Tell her a joke And she'll be on her way. D is for Don He's quite petite He's tiny but mighty A good guy to meet. G is for George His future is clear A vision of apples Is what he calls dear. S is for Shirley A wonderful gal A real Middies Booster And downright good pal. -Zee View D is for Darlene She's nice we'll admit And with one certain one She's made quite a hit. fddd qfaztofuf F I R S T G R A D E Early one morning in 1942, twenty-five boys and girls entered the first grade. We were the prospects for the Class of 1954. With puzzled faces and not knowing what to expect, we faced our teacher, Miss Jennie Mast. During our first six years we had the following teachersg first grade, Miss Jennie Mastg second grade. Miss Verna Yoderg third grade, Miss Joy Hooleyg fourth grade, Miss Rhea Yoder: fifth grade, Mrs. Gail Morrison: and sixth grade, Mr. A.W. Hunsperger. During our Junior High School years we had Mrs. Smith and Mr. Kurtz as our sponsors. The day we had all been waiting for finally came. We were in High School. Our Freshman year we elected Mrs. Kurtz and Mrs. Wiebe as our sponsors and there were twenty-two members in the class. We chose Mrs. Delgado and Mr. Biddle as Sophomore sponsors and Miss Janice Shoup and Mr. Alfred Albrecht as our Junior sponsors. We entered our Senior year with twenty-one members. We elected the following officers: President, Janet Hershbergerg Vice President. Tom Fisherg Secretary, Jeanine Sutterg Treasurer. Janet Westg and Reporter. Darlene Shrock. We chose Miss Mary Hoover and Mr. Alfred Albrecht as our sponsors. There are six members of our class who attended Middlebury School all twelve years. They are Janice Caton. Roberta Mitterling.
