Our Sophomore year in high school Has now begun. We're more settled and experienced And seem to have more fun. Our green color has now disappeared, Which we claimed we never had. But when you get right down to it, We really aren't so bad. Freshmen! Freshmen! How innocent are we. Such a bunch of dumbells You'd hardly wish to see. We hardly know our A, B, C.'s Much less our horrid X, Y. Z's And Science, whew! what crazy bunk! We say it's just a lot of junk. We know the road is steep and long, But then life can't be all song. And teachers tell, us that the way Is just to study hard each day. And when we're Seniors at the top We don't then, even, mean to stop, But keep on 'till the game is played And show these folks of the stuff we're made.
