Jr ophecy What will become of the Class of '62 is the question. But where to begin! If I could only consult various astrologers, witch doctors, and fortunetellers! But what could they tell me about my classmates that I don't already know. As the Cuekoo Clock on the mantel chimed on the hour, I found that I was drifting off into a sound sleep. I felt my- self drift into a strange land, one I had never seen before, but yet something about this place seemed familiar. As I strolled down the street, (in my dream) 1 saw a sign which read: Royster and Hunt Garage. As I walked in, EDWIN ROYSTER and BILLY HUNT were sitting on the floor trying to think of a good excuse to get away from their Wives tonight. After talking a while, it was time to go to lunch, so I decided to go around the corner to Fleming's Hotel. As I walked in who should come over to greet me but my old pal BILLY FLEMING. Billy insisted we have lunch. While we enjoyed our lunch, two neatly dressed young ladies walked in. I was very surprised to see LINDA SATTERWHITE and JOYCE JENNINGS. Billy told me they are co-owners of a Ladies' Dress Shop in Raleigh. Suddenly we heard music. I looked around and there was JAMES ANDERSON with his Rock and Roll band playing Big John. JERRY HENDRICKS was the boss telling them what to do. We heard a loud honk of a horn and looked up to see LOUISE HOLLOWAY in a new Ford convertible. She said she was very happily married and was living in California with her husband who was playing baseball as a career. It seemed that she had just left LOUISE CREECH'S new beauty salon and was on her way to New York to see JACKIE ARRINGTON, who was a private secretary for the National Bank. She soon left us. After lunch Billy took me for a long ride around Middleburg. At the outskirts of the town Billy pointed out to me a beautiful country home and said it belonged to JUNE WYNNE. She finally trapped that Aycock boy! He also told me that MARY ANN SHORT was one of the local girls who had moved away and that she was teaching school in Raleigh. ROBERT LANE and LEE HENDRICK were teaching science at State College. I also learned that CAROLYN BUCHANAN had opened a beauty parlor in Greystone and seemed to be doing fine. Billy said that RALPH ELLINGTON was farming but that he hardly ever saw him. That little Henderson girl really calmed him down. TOMMY HENDRICK, he informed me, was Head Director of Electronics at Cape Canaveral in Florida. He said that BILLY WATKINS just loved Old M.H.S. He was coaching there. LINDA PERDUE was married to that certain guy living in the Dabney community. Billy said he quite often saw the two bachelors, PERRY ORR and BOBBY SHORT. They still had their eyes open. Billy also said that PRESTON MOODY was a successful business man, living in Raleigh. BOBBY STAINBACK was still cutting meat in Satterwhite's Grocery. Only he had to cut a little faster because he had a wife and three little ones. JIMMY HOLLOWAY was part owner in Newman-Seaman Grocery, since he had finally gotten that little Henderson girl. LINDA KING was teaching school at Dabney High, still looking for that certain guy. Then I told Billy that I would not like to change places with any of them.
