ASS HISTURY In September 1949 we took one of the bxggest steps m lrfe we started out our year as freshmen at Mxddlebranch Hlgh School Our flrst bug job was to elect class offlcers and Bob Scheufler was named class presxdent wxth Bxll Immel vnce president Vxrgmxa Chamberlaln secretary Davrd Gibson treasurer Helen Shupe was chosen to attend the Homecommg Queen Mr Hemtz and Mnss Wensel were our sponsors this year Our sophomore year we got more mto the swmg of acttvmes after takmg a year of gettmg acquainted Mxss Hull and Mr Klay advnsed us this year Davld Gnbson and Brll Immel recelved recognmon by gettmg letters ln football Barbara Sollre was chosen drum mayorette and Helen Shupe and Beverly Bentz majorettes The honor of bemg queen attendant agam was bestowed upon Helen Shupe Our class offrcers were Vlfglnla Chamberlam president Brll Immel vxce president Glenn Humbert secretary and Andrew Coccoll treasurer unnors at last' Work work and more work Offncers were elected early so as to get all the commnttees chosen for the varxous projects jnm Senter was elected presrdent Bob Scheufler vice presndent Grace Denny secretary and Mary Ann Brower treasurer jackxe Dme had the honor of queen attendant Mary Ann Brower was chosen as mayorette and Myrna Mears and Vrrgxnna Chamber-lam were chosen to lead the cheerxng Dave Glbson Bxll Immel and Glenn Humbert received letters rn football The prom was glven for the semors on May 17 and wxth the guidance of Mr Maurer and Miss Hull we had a wonder ful year And now we are about to take our last step Our semor year has come to an end Thanks goes to Mnss Hull our advisor and all those people who have helped us through our semor year Our officers thxs year were 1m Senter presndent Tedd john vnce president Myrna Mears secretary Vrrgmxa Chamber lam treasurer The semors were actnve rn almost every actrvxty rn school jxm Vogelgesang Dave Gnbson B111 Immel Bob Scheufler and Chuck Rxffle held posntnons on the football team jo Ann Pepper was added to the majorette corps Myrna Mears relgned as Homecommg Queen wxth Beverly Bentz as her attendant The semor play Rest Assured was a huge success and a bonquet of roses goes to the whole cast The names of all who took part nn act1v1t1es m the semor year are too numerous to mentlon but the part they played wxll never be forgotten We are now endmg our lourney through hxgh school-endmg one journey but begrnmng another What the future holds for us we do not know but we do know that we shall do our best to succeed Page 24 9 9 9 9 9 7 9 ' 9 - 9 3 9 9 9 9 9 - j . , , .
