Ladies Shoot Their Way To The Top The 1987-88 Varsity Girls' Basketball season was a success in all aspects. The Panthers finished the year with the school's third best record, with 22 wins and 6 losses. Though not first in CAL, the team played exceptionally well, advancing to the second playoff game where they lost a closely contend- ed match to Lakewood. The girls were helped out by Tracy Greenwaldt, who led the team in assists and placed third in the school's all-time assists record. Though only a junior, Michelle Greenwaldt has already compiled 926 career points and is sixth in all-time scoring. She also set the record for most steals in one season with 142. Senior Franny Grant completed the season with 701 career points, eighth in the school's history. All members are satisfied with their performance and are looking forward to an equally rewarding season next year. xy!

The Be t Middle's Freshmen Girls basket- ball team, with the help of coach Jack Sykes, had a highly successful year. Finishing the season with a re- cord of 15 wins and 2 losses, the girls were rated the best freshman team in South Jersey. Donna Parker, voted the teamis most Valuable Player, contributed 204 points toward the team's winning season.
