Turnaround Although the JV Boy's basketball team began their season with a 2 win, 9 loss record, they managed to turn the tides to a winning streak - victo- rious in the final 10 out of 11 games. The team was well-rounded and the members showed good team effort. Unlike the Freshman and Varsity teams, the members of the JV team were able to play in at least 2 quar- ters of a game. With the leadership of the Juniors and supporting efforts of the underclassmen, the team was able to finish with a winning season. 1. JV BOY'S BASKETBALL: Row 1: Jon Radzieta, Carmen Monachelli. pn 9 'ff' 5:15 er Competiti e As a freshman coming into the high school, playing basketball was a very competitive sport. There was competition not only from oppo- nents during a game, but also from teammates during practice for start- ing positions. Practices for basket- ball were very hard, but players learned alot about the fundamentals of the sport and how to play it well. A freshman, however, had to be ready to play at anytime. Sometimes players would not show up for a practice and someone else would have to jump in both feet first and fill his spot. Even though problems did arise the team still came through with a great season. ,, - fav ,ZW ?.95 Zvi V if in WW 5 if 399 it ll ff tholic QE?
