The team suffered only four losses and no two losses to one team. The Panther Golfers managed to get revenge on each team that beat them by securing victories in round two. Doug Vogelei started the season with first position on the team and concluded with first position on the CAL Team! Each member of the team managed to bring in a low score for the team during the season. Positions two and three were secured by underclassmen John Pe- tronis and Sean Conner. The real fight was for the remaining three positions where Tony Radzieta, Bill Watson, and freshman Lance Ludman kept within strokes of each other throughout the season, changing positions regularly. The underclassmen on the team are optimistic for a CAL victory in '88. fl 3 ' . . ' - J , , . .. H., r.,,,i QM.M wgw . . -aiu? There are great expectations for the coming years, with the number of underclassmen on the team. Midde, with two new coaches, Mr. Hammell and a former MTHS wrestler, Mr. Brockman, won their first match in years against Wildwood Catholic. One member had an extremely out- standing year. Sam Vitola finished the season undefeated with a record of 13-0. Sam moved on to regionals and was seated fifth. Later he wrestled at the state competition.
