CO-OP Students Cooperative Office Education - COE - is a program for students who have expressed a desire to pursue an office occupation as a career now or after college. COE is a cooperative venture between Middle Township High School and the business community. The school provide training in developing offices skills and occupa- tional information, and the business community provides situations where students practice these skills and acquire additional experience which can only be learned on the job. There are certain responsibilities that COE students have to meet. Students have to provide their own trans- portation to work, spend at least fifteen hours a week during the school year at a particular place of business, learning office procedures and living up to the policies set by the employer. Students in this program receive fifteen credits toward high school graduation for the successful completion of on-the-job training at an approved work station and relat- ed class activities. Students involved in the COE program find that they learn many other things than they would in a regular class.
