Q' ' ifff ' .. , , elf fi, Q1 of the Service To The Community Middle Township's Key Club is part of the world's largest high school community service or- ganizations. There are more than thirty-six hun- dred clubs world wide. Each is sponsored by its local Kiwanis Club. The Kiwanis Club of Cape May Court House acts as the parent organization for Middle Township. In cooperation with the school and the Kiwanis Club, Key Club provided various services to the community. Aid to the el- derly, handicapped, and needy families was per- haps the most significant assistance the club pro- vided. The Middle Key Club sponsored nursing home visitations and food drives as well as helped out at the Special Olympics this year. Each year Key Club International presents an International Theme with a Major Emphasis Pro- gram. This year the activities of the organization were centered around this year's theme: For Friendship's Sake. In addition to fulfilling serious community ser- vices, Key Clubbers enjoyed numerous social ac- tivities focused on Key Club. On Sunday, October 4, 1987, the annual New Jersey District Leader- ship Training Conference was held at Great Ad- venture. Twenty-two Middle Township Key Club- bers enjoyed speakers and a fun-filled day at the amusement park. The Key Club year culminated in April with a week-end-long convention at Ta- miment Lodge in the Poconos. 1. The Largest Ever The Middle Township High School Concert Choir, direct- ed by Mrs. Lauriello, is this year the largest it has ever been, with an enrollment of 113 students. In fact, at the beginning of the year there were not enough robes to go around! The Concert Choir, in addition to the annual Christmas and Spring Concerts, has also performed around the community during the Christmas season. The Advanced Choir, a 31-member ensemble of students who have been in choir at least one previous year, has given various additional concerts in the area. This smaller group demonstrated its vocal talents for such organizations as the Eastern Star and the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and provided music for the hospital's Christmas tree lighting. .ann ls l 1.
