SCHOOL OF ARTS AND SCIENCES Few students escape the School of Arts and Sciences on their trip through college. Enconnpassing the disci- plines of science, languages, social sciences, mathe- matics, and speech and theatre, the school offers courses for basic study as well as being preparatory for a teaching career in one of its fields. Under the able head of Dr. Clay Tucker, the school has grown con- siderably over the past few years; a special example of this is the growth of the once almost non-existent Bachelor of Arts program. Through much trial and error, photography stu- dents become aware of the proper procedures for arriving at good prints. Captain Gorman guides Military Science students through the problems of the army. SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY MTSU ' s School of Business and Industry amply prepares a student to take his place in the business world. The cur- riculum is such that the business graduate more than meets the basic requirements for a person seeking employment in the fields of business and industry. The school ' s course of study encompasses the areas of accounting, agriculture, business administration, business education, economics, in- dustrial arts, and military science.
