Considerable time has been given even in the days of Ebenezer to art displays, concerts, theat- ricals, and military drills. Numerous prizes were of- fered for excellence in certain subjects. Much interest was manifested in contests in oratory. During com- mencement week five days and nights of entertain- ment and reunions were set aside so that all students and citizens of Cochran might enjoy the gaiety. Usually prominent men were engaged for lectures. Now on the night preceding graduation, the alumni meet for dinner and companionship. Through the years clubs were begun to fill the needs of students, and as needs changed, some of the clubs were terminated. Among those no longer in existence are the Camera Club, the Veterans Club, the Biology Club, the Drill Team, and the Band. There are still many clubs, both old and new, which are active and are of great interest to the students. Included in these activities are the three oldest on campus: the Choir, the Ensemble, and Quintas Stellas.
