New Golfers And Other wards The 1st R-V golf team attended only 2 mat- ches, winning one by a score of 9-O. Mem- bers of the team were: Larry Reder, coach, Vicky I-Iarter, Mike Young, Cherine I-leckman, Danny McClintic, Kayla Morgan, Fred Farris, Regina Majeske, and Bill Admire. At the M. W. business contest, the shorthand tean won 2nd in the novice class. Susan Wyatt won an individual 3rd place in this and in general business knowledge. She also placed 2nd in novice shorthand in the state. She transcribed at 80 w.p.m. , with a 97. 75M accuracy. David Delaney, Lanny Krumme, and Gene Colley went to N.W. M.S.C. April 29, with their shop projects. David won a 2nd for his lamp in Woodworking ll. Lanny won third place with his gun rack in General Shop. Gene Colley received a lst place with his collee table in General Shop. Nita Farris received a I rating at both the District and State Music Contest for her vocal solos. Charles Ussary received five medals this year at the Conference Indoor, State Indoor, Con- ference O tdoor, Kearney, and at William Jewell where he set a new school record. Mike Young and Debbie Travis were named Mr. and Miss Physical Fitness for the school year.
