Dr. Robert L. Sawyer, Sr. Professor of Biblical Languages and Literature WHY I TEACH My love for teaching is reinforced by the fact that I feel it is a calling of God. It is not an option which I may or may not do. But the love for teaching is intertwined with my love for young people and the response I feel to the challenge of helping to train young minds. Since I felt the call to preach first, I would probably not be teaching unless it was related to the training of Christian minis- ters. I feel that the Lord called me to MANC as clearly as He first called me to preach and to teach. It is exciting and challenging to be a part of the team here and to be a part of the miracle hill . The personal rewards have come in watching our students take their places in every aspect of Christian work around the world.
