Not pictured: Manager Doug Phillip. i Slow and steady start, but a very building teamf, was the way Coach Janis Martin described the MANC women's basketball team Although the team had trouble winning, a very determined and spirited group represented MANC in women's basketball. Outside shooting, quickness, and rebounding-these were just a few of the team's fine qualities, with their weakness being poor of- fensive playing and lack of height. This year's team was an experienced team with only two freshmen and ten upperclassmen on the squad. The squad was coached by Janis Martin, who graduated in 1975 from MANC with a B.S. in physical education. Leading this year's squad in average points per game was Penny Brecheisen with 16.0. Leading rebounders were Tina Thuston and Rhona Hands.
