ENTHUSIASTIC MANC CHEERLEADERS BOOST PIONEER SPIRIT Pep, loyalty, and spirit marked the 1970-1971 cheerleading season. Led by captain Carolyn Burgess and Co-captain lVlaridel lVlink, the cheerleaders worked on new and original cheers for the Pioneer cagers. lVlrs. Carolyn Pickering, cheerleader adv-iser, was instrumental in the selection and coaching of this year's squad. Another helper in the field of transportation was Dr. Carl Kruse who took the cheerleaders to all away games.
