YOUNG YOUNG GEOLOGY REPUBLICANS The Young Republicans have been organized at Tech, and are affiliated with the State Republican Committee and work in conjunction with other Republican groups to sense and mold public opinion. The club occasionally has a guest to speak on party organiza- tion. DE MOCRATS The voice of the Democratic party on campus, the Young Democrats, were organized this year at Tech, The club has met regularly and heard guests speakers on a raft of political subjects. The Young Democrats are Affiliated with county and state Democratic committees. CLUB The Geology Club, under the able guidance of Prof. Kemp scours the Canadian and American countryside for new specimens. It is hoped that in the future, this book will bring back memories of the entire year. For those leaving this year, it was a year of progress with the addition of the first new building and the end of the first lap of college. COMPASS Students at Tech eagerly await the publica- tion of each new issue of the school news- paper, the compass. The Compass is a mem ber of the Michigan-Collegiate Press Associa- tion. Under the leadership of Mrs. Howe and editors Bob Calverly and George Ewing, the Compass consistently gives students conscien- tious, unbiased editorials and features.
