AI-DAY FESTIVITIES were ac-coinpanied by the music of an informal outdoor band. THE UNION lounge became an art gallery for the Parents, Weekend show. THE SACK race was high on the list of zany Frosh-Soph competitions for the lit- tle green juga' awarded to the winning class.

-'F QQ -an 4 just as the events of a day con- tribute to a year's character, so must its eventful days. One such day began fall term with the antics of two chief executives perched 10 feet off the ground for MSU,s zaniest marathon, a tree-sitting contest. Sophomores Win In The Frosh-Soph Daze The two venerables were Fresh- man Class President, Bob Gale and sophomore President, Ioe Wallace. The event their stunt initiated was the traditional rivalry of the Frosh- Soph Daze. This year tradition went by the board as, alas, the little brown jugv awarded for countless years to the winning class, turned up green. The year's other big days, though somewhat more conventional, were equally memorable to their partici- pants, from the alums here for Home- coming to Mother and Dad visiting over Parents, Weekend. 12 HOMECOMINC QUEEN.
