The Crowds Came by Bob Slade While the World of 1957-58 sent aloft its sputniks and explorers and debated the question of man and outer space, another controversy re- ceived at least equal attention at MSU-that of student and parking space. Since their emancipation in 1954, when President Hannahis edict freed them to drive and park on campus, the number of student auto ovvners had increased until some drastic ac- tion seemed unavoidable.
