C! C156 I'0,9L2Cy The year is now 1979 and we find ourselves at the mountain home of billionaire Doug Cochrane celebrating the reunion of the Michigan Center Class of 1954. Doug, you will remember became a tycoon when he discovered an improved method of making chocolate-covered baked beans. Bill Wainright is Doug's chief accountant of the beans. Standing in a group close by are Kay Vogel, millionaire manufacturer of General Products and the partners of the Trans-Oceanic Railway, Phillips, Trevarthen, Caspar 8: Gallas. David and Jerry built a railroad bridge across the Atlantic and Harvey is running his Diesels across. Jim was the noted electrician who installed the lights in the train. Over in the corner we see a very distinguished group--Dr. Joan Landron, dis- coverer of XYZ, the long-sought for miracle drug, Dr. Janet Wait, the world famous children's doctorg and Dr. Nancy Winegarden. It has been said that Nancy gave up marriage for medicine. Janet gives free service to all members of her graduating class. Betty Early and Adeline Lock have been taking advantage of this, for they each have ten children. I wonder who the girl is surrounded by all those men? Delores Cooper no less! I can see now why she never got married. I wouldn't either! Dale France owner of the Cadillac Industry just arrived with a fleet of beautiful girls around him. I always knew he was a terrible flirt. Bill Braman couldn't be here tonight because he is right in the middle of his campaign for Mayor of Michigan Center. His platform promises Seniors a skip day any time they want. I wish he had been in office when we were Seniors. Here comes the noteworthy inventor of the radio, Lynn Kennedy. As I understand the secret of radio was lost after so many years of television. News has just been brought that Warren I-licks, winner of the world championship speedway contest will arrive soon. I hear that Earl Sheehan has spent the last twenty years in vain search for some way to restore his curly hair. He lost it because of the hair tonic which was in- vented by the famous barber, Jim Cusick. Oh yes, Bob Bellmer is leading the Anti-Homework Union of America. One of our graduates is with the armed forces. Nan Talmage is now living in Washington D. C. , where her husband is Commander-in-Chief of the Coast Guard. Ruth Musbach has a part-time job with a dramatic company. After substituting in the Senior Play, she thought there was nothing like it. We have two very prominent inventors with us tonight, Dr. Maureen Updyke and Wilfred Carson. Maureen invented a glue to keep false teeth in place when you laugh' and Wilfred invented a chair which keeps you from going to sleep. Maureen's invention is especially popular with boys who play football and Wilfred is being swamped by schools from all over the country. wk Does anyone feel low? No will to live? Well, see Thayer, Wilkinson, 81 Hogoboom. They have opened a clinic to all non-livers. Glenda Fellows has an up and coming business of being a marriage counselor. The gossip has been said that her latest client was Janell Schmell. As we go into the diamond-studded dining room we really see some delicious food. As I understand it was furnished by Collins 8: Whitney. Terry, with his 300-acre estate, on which he grows out-of-season delicacies and J. C. , with his meat business decided to go into partnership. Who's that stealing the diamonds ? Well, Well, none other than our deserter from the ranks, Jerry Salzgaber. During dinner we are entertained by the famous Philharmonic Orchestra directed by Ann Hamilton. After dinner we have the privilege of hearing three speakers: the man who inspired players everywhere and turned out winning Olympic teams, the internationally known coach, Chuck Mangusg Danny Cole, who will speak on Why People Lose Their Tempers and Larry Long, the pitcher of the Detroit Tigers will speak on How I Won The World Series. The programs for the entertainment were handmade by Marilyn Campbell, the famous artist. After my tenth trip to Africa I finally completed my latest book, The Life of the African Pygmy, which was illustrated by Larry Hawkins. Larry also has been writing several song hits, some of which I'm sure he got from the natives. .
