When the members of the class of '55 ' ' entered the first grade, the magorlty of them were together and remained that I way unti the end ofthe iourney this year. Of course, some moved away, some new stud nt h ' e s came ere, and some others quit for one reason or another, but many of th ' em who started together finished the same way. This is true not only of the class f . o 55 but also, of all the classes. Many lasting friendships have been formed through this close association. Every morning the first and second periods you will find Ernest Adkins, Ralph Belvo, and Jack McKin- ley, with several other senior boys, working in auto mechanics. Clackity, clackity is the sound these people hear every day as they pound away at their typewriters: Eileen Wantz, Judy Manuel, Bill McGohcn, Aleta Stra- censky, Rose Phillabaum, June Belvo, Ruth Ellis. Oh! What is that horrible smell? Don't be alarmed, it is just Mike Shahan, Jerry libecap, Shirley Hill, Genevieve Harrington, Jim Gustin, and Jim Gas- tineau, working in the chemistry lab. Watch that tree, cries Mr. Heistand to Ramon Maxwell, Marilyn Fowler, Joan Blair, Pat Hecathorn. Eighth Grade This year's eighth grade class is the largest class in Miamisburg High School's history. The class has 190 members. Because one of the home rooms was not yet completed, Mr. Duffee conducted his classes in the high school gym during the first semester.
