'53 CHARTER lClass Historyl Graduation Night! Looking back it seems iust like yesterday when we entered our Freshman year at M. H. S. We chose Nadine Hillman as president, Cherie Baker as Secretary-Treasurer. Mrs. Manuel and Mr. Tisher were our sponsors. In Student Council, Nadine Hillman and Dale Cox were our representatives. Our Sophomore year, we once again elected Nadine Hillman as president, Cherie Baker, Vice President, and Dolores Zink as Secretary-Treasurer. Wilburn Johnson, Margaret Thomas, Nadine Hillman and Cherie Baker represented us in Student Council. Miss Carr, Mrs. Smith, and Mr. Sonander were our sponsors. Cherie Baker led us as President in our Junior year with Wilburn Johnson, Vice President, Dolores Zink, Secretary, and Carole Leis, Treasurer. In Student Council were Cherie Baker, Carolyn Peftly, Don Schenck, and Jerry Lehman. The class gave a Sadie Hawkins Dance at which Carolyn Peftly was crowned as Daisy Mae and Bud Sim- mons as Little Abner . Mr. Bolen directed our play, One Foot in Heaven. Our sponsors were Miss Wade, Mrs. DiMatteo, and Mr. Dixon. When the class rings arrived proud smiles appeared on every senior. Mr. Heis- tand, Miss Wade and Mr. Wilkinson were our sponsors. Jerry Lehman was President, Dave Holzen, Vice President, Barbara Wolf, Secretary, Carole Leis, Treasurer. Don Schenck, Cherie Baker, Carolyn Pemy and Jerry Lehman served in Student Council. Cherie Baker and Dave Holzen reigned over the Homecoming. Senior Class Play, You Can't Take It With You was presented April l7. The Jr. 8.
