THE MIRUS THE NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY The National Honor Soc'ety this year was composed of three boys and five girls of the graduating class. Membership to this society centers around four distinct points: excellence in scholarship, leadership, character, and service through- out the student's four years in high school. The faculty selects the members from those having a scholarship rank in the first one-fourth of their class, but only fifteen per cent of these can be chosen. The insignia of this Society is the torch of knowledge engraved on a gold pin, lighting up the initial letters of the above four points. Most of these students have majored in mathematics. science, and fore'gn language, or commercial subjects and have won their scholastic honors by hard work. page twenty-six
