If time were numbered with sea shells we could take a chest, and keep arosy one for the hrst HA of our career: a sad. blue pearl for the first home-sick week of schoolg one that sings pretty songs in our ear for the first love: a huge, lonely, bumpy one for the many hours -of study: and then, of course, the pearly, gray one of happy friend- ship. But, alas, time is not recorded in the collection of shells for mem- ory and the student is no shell collector. The days slip by: as they go we say. This we must remember , but we find there is no trace left on our Beach of Recollection, and our shells have slipt away unheeded. Lest the Sea of Oblivion engulf our shining shells. so vivid in the sun of to-day, some of us have turned shell collectors. l-lerein you shall see those parts of the year which we have set forth as the pearls in our chest of 1926, and the key to this Treasure Box is the RECENSIO. '
