It represents the funda- mental objectives for which high schools are insti- tuted. Other honors at the disposal of the school are only partial in that they recognize special abilities, skills, or talents, but the National Honor Society looks upon those educated students as a total product of education excelling in the four dimensions of life: Character, Scholarship, Lead- ership, and Service. As the story progressed Sir Lancelot (Doug Stayrook) came to Camelot to join the round table and fell in love with Guenevere and she with him. They try to conquer their love for each other so they will not betray their loyality to King Arthur. Morgan LeFey (Paula McNabb) joined in a plot to over- throw Arthur and to take over Camelot. When Pellinore (Mike Maust) and Arthur go hunting in their woods, Morgan detains him. Then Mordred is free to arrest Lancelot and Guenevere for treason. When Arthur returns he finds Camelot in an uproar. Soon Lancelot rescues her and King Arthur has to declare war on Lancelot. Arthur's dreams of the round table began to vanish. Don't let it be forgot that once there was a spot for one brief shining moment that was known as Camelot. 107 uneiot 108 Student Elected for one year. SHAW and HANCOCK DRS. HEINY and GEBHART 183 The 1970 Mitra has changed, and is hopefully different from any other book published at Miami Trace, This book is not a scrapbook but rather a composite of the happenings of the school year 1969-1970. It would be impossible to please everyone in the space and budget limitations of the members: Mary Ann Ware for many of the page layouts, Ken Shibley for the copy. Bob Mazorov for talking about getting the book finished, and all the section editors and assistant editors that worked on their individual sections. Ed Ritts and John Hickman for their comments and help on Mitra. We sincerely hope that the students, for whom the Mitra is published, and all other concerned individuals are pleased at tliis attempt to produce an annual of excellent quality and design. This book would not have been possible without the help of the entire Mitra staff who worked diligently and long hours to fulfill their dream of an unexcelled Mitra 70. Special credit should be given to the following staff the opening section and dividers, Bill Haines for the use of his fisheye lens, Osborne Studio for his help in time of need and to Wilma Kumler for her photographic and morale sup- port. Terry Hirtzinger and Charles Miller, yearbook repre- sentatives, were both very helpful with their ideas, com- ments, and work with the Mitra 70 staff. Advisor Photographic specifications Cameras used to photograph activity pictures, both four color and black-and-wnite, appearing in Mitra 70 include: Nikkormat FTN, Leica, Cannon FT QL, Rolieiflex, Yachica Mamiyaflex, Crown Graphic, and for the portraits Beattie Portronic. Press run was 510 copies. Printing specifications Mitra 70 was printed by offset lithography by the Taylor Publishing Company, Dallas, Texas. The first 16 pages are printed on Saxony Embossed stock 80-pound. The head lines are Brush Script, the body copy is Times Roman. MM
