Similarly our counselors keep us from faltering in our studies and make sure that the extracurricular activities and classes we plan to par- ticipate in will help us prepare for our chosen vocation. BOARD OF EDUCATION - Floyd Hoppes; Marion Waddle, Vice President; Mrs. Fleming, Clerk; Paul Shepard; Foster Kelly; and Glen McCoy, President. The board of education has similar duties to those of ex- ecutive producers in a play. Our board is made up of five elected members who act as a dheck on administrative power and act as a sounding board for complaints. The executive producers in a play advise the director of ideas and courses of action they feel should be followed based on what they believe the public wants. 7 y 'fyocKte Jfte Just as the technical director manages the finances and properties in a play, Mr. Hardin sees to it that our school district is efficiently operated. He is responsible for the teachers of our district, the type of education available to us, and the financial management of our district. Although Mr. Hardin is usually behind the scenes, he is indispensable in making our school system a workable one. MR. JOHN HARDIN County Superintendent The stage manager has an important job, for he must make sure the staging of the play runs properly. He is in charge of the actors, the stage crew, the scenery, and works with the director. These jobs are similar to those of Mr. Boyer, the Executive Head. In order for a play to be remembered through the years, it must be recorded. Thus, the recording of a play enable each of us to read the works of great artists. This is also true of history.
