The cast is often the most important part of a play. Like- wise, the students are the most important people in a school. The building will change and the teachers will pass on but there will always be students. Because the students are so im- portant, we feature them in this book. 8

Time is of utmost importance in our daily lives. Seconds really count in basketball games, track meets, and semester exams. Sometimes we speak more in terms of periods, days, weeks, or semesters. All play important parts in the efficient functioning of our school. In a play time is also important. The acts and scenes can represent different days, different years, or different seasons. In this book we are try- ing to present die school year to you as it happens, everything to its own time.
