We encourage the students to understand the structure of our government, its development, testing and preservation, based upon the moral and spiritual riches inherited as an American citizen. There is a great underlying purpose in life that the student must be helped to discover. We teach the students to live effectively in a democratic society by establishing and maintaining a democratic atmos- phere in the classroom. We try to develop the ability to use our freedoms wisely and a deeper appreciation for the privilege of living in a democ- racy.
