As a member of this club the girls visit the various schools and see the many varieties of work available. Guest speakers from many different beauty schools attend our meetings, answering questions about their school and helping with anv personal beauty problems. Those interested in attending beauty schools may compete for scholarships offered by numerous cosmetology schools in the state. Huss IN The purpose of the Miami Trace Debate Club is to attempt to present one side of a question and to seek to per- suade others. In some cases it has decided our history. Skill in debating has often been the margin of success for an individual or a cause. Ability to debate may be learned in many ways, but one way to learn the technique and also to practice it, is to take part in academic debating. Manv students have found the training and techniques very valuable in later years. 127
