Mr. James Purcell The Industrial Arts curriculum is designed to meet the needs and wants of students. We are offering classes in drafting, wood, metal, electricity, automotives, machine shop, building construction which will benefit the student planning to enter college, trade school or industry upon graduation from high school. Industrial Arts teaches not only the industrial processes hut also consumer knowledge and appreciation. It is the philosophy of the Industrial Arts Department that our courses are not set up as a trade school or an apprentice program for the training of experienced machinists or draftsmen. It is our goal to give the students a fundamental understanding of its many industrial processes and from this knowledge he will he able to select an area of his interest and find employment after graduation.
