To promote a growing appreciation of the joys and satisfactions of homemaking. 2. To emphasize the importance of worthy home and community life. 3. To encourage democracy in home and communi- ty life. 4. To work for good home and family life. 5. To promote international good will. 6. To foster the development of creative leadership in home and community life. 7. To further interest in home economics. 8. To provide wholesome individual and group rec- reation. Each year the Miami Trace FHA sponsors dances after the football and basketball games. One of the biggest traditional dances of the year is the FHA spon- sored Sweetheart Dance” where Mr. and Miss Sweetheart are crowned.
