ofzonafi n 3 Miss Eleanor Houghton, Miss Tech High of '53 places the crown on the head of jan Davis, the new Miss Tech High while the court looks on. HIGHLIGHTS Highlighting the Coronation Ball of 1954 was the crowning of Mr. and Miss Tech High and the presentation of the court. Shop representa- tives were also present to pay their homage to the Tech High Royalty. lan Davis, Mario Lounders, and Phyllis Ursin, were presented to the crowd at thc University of Miami at a little past 10 o'clock. After the Coronation, the crowning, and the grand march, refreshments were served. The theme for this ycar's Coronation Ball was at the end of the rainbow. Decorations re- volved around this theme and included blue- birds with tinseled wings, pastel colored angel soft clouds, tiny leprechauns, sparkling castles, and large gold coins surrounding the throne. Sue Cypress was the clmirinan of this Cerona- tion Ball. Miss Phyllis Poody Ursin is the first Tech High girl evcr to he chosen Maid of Honor to Miss Tech High. Here is Phyllis with her escort Cary Alexander. zl i' Mr. T. A. Koschh-r, principal of Tech High, presents Ian Davis .uid Mario Lounds-rs with the plaque that will hear their names.
