Motto of FBLA is Service, Education, Progress, and the aim of the organization is to better equip our youth for future leadership in the field of business. Sponsor of the new club is Miss Rosehelen M. Connellyg eo-sponsor is Mr. Wilbur McElwain. Mrs. Allllilbelle lf1Cl4S0H, head of the Business Education department, is one of the five members of the State Board of Directors of FBLA, and Miss Connelly has been named Florida State representative to the national convention. Service projects for this year included typing 20,000 envelopes for the Lighthouse for the Blindg acting as :1 pilot school for the administration of National Business Entrance tests sponsored by the local chapter of NOMAg supplying the Chamber of Commerce with part-time clerical helpg and supplying Tech deans with partatime clerical help. 'Educational project for the year was a field trip to the First National Bank, which enabled Business Edu- cation students to write a business letter for the State Bankers Association describing an educational tour through a bank.
