'l'he first ten-inch metal turning engine lathe ever made in the State of Florida by high school students. and one of the few ever constructed by high school students anywhere in the United States, was completed bythe morning Machine shop trainees in May. Several more of these lathes are in process of con- struction in the Machine shop, and this project has created among the students a high degree of interest because they have been able to see their accomplishment in producing an actual. usable piece of machinery.
