The General Advisory Committee for Vocational Education in Dade County is appointed by the County Superintendent of Public Instruction. The purpose of this Committee is to assist the director in establishing general policies in the Vocational Training program which affects industry and labor throughout Dade County. This Advisory Committee was estab- lished back in 1942. Several of the present members have been with the committee since its beginning. Counsel and advice given by this Com- mittee has proved invaluable to the administration in meeting the chang- ing and ever-increasing needs for training in industry and business in Dade County. I This Committee consists of equal representation of both Employers and Employees, and constitutes a comprehensive cross-section of the commer- cial and industrial life of this community.
