Brian Nordwall Candy Walters Brian Nordwall focused his interests in the areas of academics and journalism. He was editor of the Panther in both his junior and senior years and a member of Quill and Scroll, the journalism honor society. His academic achievement ranged from being a National Merit semi-finalist to membership in the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta and Phi Beta Chi. He was also a member of Interact service club. Candy Walters won awards for her artistic ability from the Scholastic Art Competi- tion. She was a member of the Student Council and second vice-president of Girls' Council. She was a cheerleader and a member of the Art Club. She was a princess in both her sophomore and junior years and, as a senior, was elected Homecoming Queen. hall of fame 215

214 hall of fame Yvonne Morris's activities centered around publications. She was a Palm Echo staff member for two years and a member of Quill and Scroll, the journalism honor society. She was a member of the Mixed Chorus as a junior and a representative at the Bi-Racial Committee meetings as a senior. Bill Pinkston gained recognition through his academic achievements. He was a member of Mu Alpha Theta and National Honor Society and treasurer of Phi Beta Chi.
