'QQ' ti-5.3: W bowling team Linda Popp Peggy Dupler Pat Winton, Susan Borries, Carol Worrall, Jamie Walden, Linda Wellman, Sharon Pedersen. Bowling Sparked by team captain Jack McAfee and David Tannen, returning lettermen from last year, the Pal- metto boys finished with an outstanding record by winning the Southern Division Title for the fourth consecutive year. Under the coaching of Winston Clarke, the many practices held at Bowl-O-Mat Lanes proved beneficial. Hold your applause until the end, please. Throughout the season, the female bowlers at- tained perfection as they showed superior ability. Eat your hearts out, guys. Team captains Linda Popp and Peggy Dupler led the girls against such oppo- nents as South Dade, Southwest, and Coral Gables to keep the number one ranking in their division. Now clap. f 1 VE ,, if . 6 3-r A- wp- , 'f ' , . ,, ,b AI JA E, Members of Lettermen's Club include: Mark Ghezzi, Ken Madry, Andy Burge, Ed Becker, Jerry Swan, Bobby Roberts, Jeff Greenberg, Charles Cadmanp 2nd row, Bob Krieger, Ken Curry, Jack MacAfee, Frank Phoenix, Steve Mullens, Jim Whitmack, Ken Adams, 3rd row, Richard Snead, Dana Warrington, Frank Crawford, Steve Ellis, Bruce Vandermark, Tom Stoll: 4th row, Tim Pluto, Clark Roundtree, Dan Wright, Jim Martin, Rick Curtis, Mike Bell, Dick Pearlson: 5th row, Rick Harrison, Kevin McGrath, Bob Pace, Greg Beenken, Frank Brice, Ron Sanders, Ralph Helms: 6th row, Tim Murray, Fred Briggs, Randy Adair, Joel Bowman, Jack Harbaugh, Jeff Meyers. Lettermen promote interest in sports. After four years of inactivity, the Lettermen's Club was organized to give recognition to the outstanding athletes of school. Sponsored by Coach Barry Zimbler and Coach John Turner, forty boys qualified for the club Cobtaining a letter in any sport was the only qualificationj. Besides giving service to the school, the club sponsored a basketball game. With proceeds from the game, the lettermen donated the money they raised to Variety Children's Hospital. Officers of the club were: President Dan Wright, Vice-President Richard Pearlson, Treasurer Randy Adair, Secretary Fred Briggs, and Sergeant-at-Arms Tim Murray. Iettermen's 203
