ajorettes Twirl at the Super Bowl Nine corps majorettes placed an accent on entertainment at each varsity football game half-time show. The corps partici- pated in Senior Stunt Night and Panther Prowlg in addition, the majorettes hosted a powder puff football game against the chantonettes in the spring. Displaying their talents and enthusi- asm, majorettes marched with the band and chatonettes in the Orange Bowl Parade, fireworks festivities, and Super Bowl. Majorette corps members are: Captain Laura Partridge, Karen Stewart, Ricki Shaw, Vicki DeFeo, Debbie Alford, Nina Klam, and Linda Evans, Valerie Comp- Majorettes are seniors: Laura Partridge, Karen Stewart, juniors: Ricki Shaw, Nina ton, and Suzanne Riden. fi E . Chantonettes Originate New Routines Lead by Captain Patti Holladay, 38 chan- tonnettes worked together with the major- ettes and marching band to provide en- tertainment during football season's half- time shows. The girls practiced everyday to develop their precision marching. In addition to skill, membership require- ments for the drill team consisted of a 2.6 average and the responsibility of at- tending all afternoon practices. Chantonette lieutenants, Peggy Crook, Lin O'Connor, Chris Danielson, and Katy Horton worked in conjunction with the captain in originating a different routine for every game. Chantonette Corps, precision drill team, performs hat and cane routine along with the Marching Band during a half-time performance at Central Stadium for the Gables game. Drill members are: Kneeling, L. Bower, K. Timko, P. Iverson, lunging, L. Mitchell, J. Barrett, P. Donalson, Standing, D. Holt, C. Schaefer, P. Eaton, T. Cagle, and B. Davis. 64
