Homecoming Weekend Frolics Reign Homecoming's eighth traditional pre- game parade was complete with floats, cheerleaders, chatonettes, and the march- ing band. School organizations and va- rious classes and homerooms participated in the parade and submitted floats to be rated by a panel of judges. Floats judged outstanding were: first, Class of '68, second, Class of '70 and Concert Chorus, and third, Elite and In- teract service clubs. After the parade, Booster's Club spon- sored a roast beef dinner followed by Panther Prowl. The Prowl's acts and sat- ires were directed toward the age old rival, South Dade. Awarded to the Con- cert Chorus, who presented an amusing act with a Greek theme, was first place. Second place went to Elite and third to the Class of '70, the sophomore class. The grand finale of the night was the announcement and crowning of the 1968 Homecoming Queen. Presented as queen, Patty Iverson, reigned sovereign over all on homecoming weekend. The queen and her court were pre- sented at the game played at Harris field against South Dade. Completing the the Everglades Hotel. ,ng.lLQurs,and.ha1:iJ4uz1:khthe.cla.ss ' ' stitutesl a replica of the senior class ring. It won first prize for the seniors' efforts. Interact Club men go all out i Alexis Yanaros poses as maladjusted Rebel player and visits sophomore class' Lucy the Psychiatrist. 52
