Arts and Crafts students displayed works in the faculty lounge and sponsored a sidewalk art show outside the art room. While gaining practical aid in journalism, the pupils produced the school's newspaper, the Panther, and yearbook, the Palm Echo. Speech and Drama attempted to improve students' eloquence and acting abilities. To accomplish this feat, drama students produced The Bad Seed while speech debaters jour- neyed to county-wide sessions. Skillful performances at district and state contests and South Miami's Methodist Church stressed teamwork to the students in Triple Trio, Double Quintet, Mixed Chorus, Music Theory I and II, Harmony, Piano I and II, and Piano Keyboard.
