Ryan teacher Jeffery Klores instructs Dick Adams in the delicate skills of metal work. Small, inexpensive undertakings provide pupils workmanship experience. 41 Vocational Arts Expands Curriculum Providing the students with a variety of constructive atmospheres, Industrial Arts offered manual courses in both general and technical skills. Wood Shop, Metal Shop, Auto Mechanics, Drafting, and Architectural and Technical Drawing gave pupils a background to help them lit into the world of work. Like Industrial Arts, Home Economics promoted a better understanding of our working community. Fall and spring fashion shows and a Christmas tea for the faculty challenged the practical skill girls gained in classes. Home Economics expanded its curricu- lum by adding Diversified Home Eco- nomics to its schedule of courses. Other class offerings included Advanced Home Economics, Clothing and Textiles, Child Development, Modern Family Living, Food and Nutrition, and Housing and Home Furnishings.
