Rice -1-I0 gg-:nl Displaying a reassuring smile during difficult exam is dedicated Curtis Ferry, World History teacher. l 35 Social Science Promotes Seminar Teams To provide students with the challenge of sharing and learning about Social Studies in depth, seminar teams materializedg the seminars encouraged members to work independently in library research projects and to later share ideas together. Participating students were granted the opportunity to earn college credit through the Advance Placement Examination taken in May. New Humanities courses geared to philosophical, historical, and aesthetic viewpoints of life ripened as a result of intercurriculum team teaching among the Social Studies, Art, and English Depart- ments. Definite progress in this program was attributed to ability-grouped classes. Supplying pupils with the understand- ing of the world in which they live were Economics, U.S. Government, World History, Sociology, and Psychology.
