FH Hosts County Council Doughnut, jewelry, and candy sales, along with monthly cookie and continuous cookbook sales, raised funds for the Fu- ture Homemakers of America. Money helped send representatives of FHA to the state convention in Jacksonville. Di- rected by Mrs. Jean Zook, the presenta- tion of Chapter Degrees occurred in May at the Mother-Daughter Luncheon. As a part of Future Homemakers of America's plan to advise pupils in their role as tomorrow's housekeepers, monthly meetings oifered members films and guest speakers from colleges and national or- ganizations. To learn etiquette and to practice cooking, girls presented the teachers with a tea in December, and members acted as the host school for the County Council to further enhance their vocational training. Girls participated and ofiiciated at the sports meets of Dade County in volleyball, basketball, softball, track, and field. Led by President Becky Giles and Advisor Betty Wilkie, service to the com- munity was stressed as the girls followed up their Christmas party with giving toys and clothes to the needy.
