fi FLASHING THE SMILE that has made him so well liked among Because of the expanding enrollment at Miami Jackson, Mr. the students of Miami Jackson is Principal Loran L. Sheeley. Sheeley has had to cope with the problem of triple sessions. Prineipalwlee s Challenge ONCE AGAIN it is graduation timeg a time for fond remembrance. The class of '60 will long re- member Principal Loran L. Sheeley for his gracious manner. Witty and encouraging pre-game speeches that he rendered to the student body has endeared him to the hearts of Jackson students. Expanding enrollment at Jackson presented a problem. This problem was solved by a plan, con- sisting of an eight-hour day. which was devised for Jackson by Nlr. Sheeley. Triple sessions. being! new at jackson. produced many problems for the administration and student body. Nlr. Sheeley always stood ready to help a stu- dent with a problem. He comments, WTO the prin- cipal it is more worklfthree faculty meetings. longer days. more headaches . . . but also more challenges that makes my day a lively one. It is his belief that the 'iprinciplev job of a principal should be to work with the faculty and students. Nlr. Sheeleyis popularity was evident in the Senior Classfs first meeting of the term. His friendly answer to inquisitive seniors, questions were extremely help- ful. An enthusiastic group received his suggestion that plans for 'Skip Day' be made early. Because of his desire that Jackson students have the very best. he wanted to make sure iSkip Day' was a success. Yes. graduation time is here. The class of '60 will soon enter business and college worlds. Jackson graduates will meet these worlds with determination and one source of this determination will be the wise words of Principal Loran L. Sheeley.
