Jackson Frolies Herald Big Week COLURFLYLLY DECORATED ROUMS and rous- ing pep assemblies introduced ,lackson's Frolics Wleek whieh culminated in a footliall game with the Edison lied Raiders for a 6-6 tie. Supporting the theme. The Spirit of Jackson Fights On. loyal ,laeksonites came adorned in green and gold for the traditional Color Day activities. Mr. and Nliss Green and Gold were chosen from the liest dressed girl and lioy of the senior high and junior high. Competition is keen among students as each one endeavors to originate the best green and gold outfit. Crowning of Jaeksoifs King and Queen was an- ticipated hy all Jaeksonites at the royal Coronation Ball held in the school patio. This formal dance is one of the main highlights of the football season. in exchange assembly hetween jackson and Edi- son demonstrated the friendly spirit which prevails between the two schools. Edison cheerleaders led the student hody in a cheer. and jackson Key Clubers entertained them with their impersonation of the Edison football players. This year a contest was held to choose a name for this very special week. Disearding last year,s name. Julvilee Week, Frolies Week was chosen in- stead. UNSEEN, BUT ALWAYS PRESENT, the Spffit of .lax moved through the student body and faculty during Frolics Week. f P ln.. 'GO GENERALS GO' yells Cheerleader Shirley Walker as her voice and others encourage the team's march toward the goal. , 5' SCINTILLATING SWINGETTES captivate the Jackson student body as they 'swing and sway' in the pre-game assembly.

FEARLESS JACKSON SWIMMERS, MAGGIE FLYNN AND BILL GROVER, DIVE INTO THE FIERY WATER DURING THE AQUA SHOW 6 wo Tickets To' USING THE THEME Two Tickets Tof' Jack- son's swim team guided the audience on a trip around the world at the annual aqua show. The two tickets enabled the recipients to travel vicari- ously to many fascinating parts of the world. A spectacular water act in which the participants plunged into the billowing flames thrilled the audi- ence. An annual performance. the fire act is always a much-heralded part of the extravaganza. Foreign acts were featured by different members of the swimming team under the direction of Coach William Diaz. Highlighting the night was a beauty contest. Clubs from the school sponsored their favorite girl. A preliminary judging was held with the top ten girls presented at the show. The lucky winner re- ceived a variety of gifts including jewelry and a modeling course.
