'Wu SENIOR HIGH PRINCIPAL In the early days of the West scouts on the western plains found it difficult to make their way across the vast stretches of prairie. There were few landmarks, and it took keen observa- tion to find the signs that guided the plains- men safely along the trail. When they circled their camp sites for possible clues to the trail, they called it cutting for sign. To those of you who have already made the trip through Miami High School may your cutting for sign have been successful along your educational trail. To those of you who are still cutting for sign along your educational trail through MHS may it be the privilege of some of us to help you in the search for clues to the right direction.
