Friend to All A true friend and advisor, respected and ad- mired not only hy the boys, but the girls alike, is MHS Dean ol Boys. Mr. Emory Dykes. Although this year is Mr. Dyke's first as Dean, he has a thorough understanding of the students and activities at Miami High. TJ Mr. Dykes had previously taught mathematics sinee comino' here in 1955 and. also. was the sponf D sor ol a boys' service club. Our sincere thanks go to Mr. Dykes for his help and friendliness to everyone. She Carries Big Load One ol the hardest-working members ol our stall is Mrs. Sallilu Clrawlord. the school's curriculum assistant. The title carries with it a great deal ol responsibility. She has to he a resource person to assist Mr. Mfehh in developing a well-balanced in- structional program. liy working with the teaching stall to help them determine desirable objectives, Mrs. Clrawlford linds satisliaetory ways ol achieving these objectives that result in an improved pro- gram ol' instruction. She organized the evaluation program which was carried out very successlully. l l Years of Leadership A sincere interest in the personal welfare ol each Stingaree girl is the quality characterizing Miss Eugenia Howard, Miami High Dean ol Girls. Miss Howard taught English and French when she lirst came to MHS in 1926 and for seven years was Director ol Student Activities helore hecom- ing' dean. ln these years she has come to know the problems ol Miami High. Her understanding and allectionate personality have helped inlluence the lives ol thousands ol 'Ahern Stingaree girls. lVe are proud to have this lair lriend and coun- selor. Miss Howard. as our Dean ol Girls.
