I was thrilled when she asked her husband fthe pilotl, and even more thrilled when I saw Swain. And he was the one who said he'd take the wide ocean preference to the sky. 10h well, that just shows you what touch will do to a guyll After seating myself, I noticed two women across the aisle from me chattering worse than a couple of magpies Cnever heard two magpies be- fore, but I'm sure their chatter could never have kept up with th6S0 twoll I knew right then that it could only be Faye Short and Vonda Kershner. I immediately struck up a conversation with them in whlchwe recalled old memories about M.H.S. I guess they've both been married several times to rich playboys and were now each looking for another. They told me that Joyce Case and Elaine Woodall were working as Rock- ettes at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City. They got their start by taking lessons from the Harry McCoy Dance Studio.I guess Harry has entirely taken over Arthur Murray's business. CGHGSS h6'S JuSt HS bald-headed as Arthur, too.5 The plane at last reached New York where I was to take the Queen Elisabeth fa ship? to Europe. I went into the airport's coffee shop for some coffee, and who else would be waiting tables but Evelyn Cum- mings. She had kept in touch with several of our classmates so we ex- changed notes. Although I had access to my own chartered plane, I preferred to mingle with the more COMMON people so I phoned the airport for a reservation. Hark, didn't that operator have a familar tone of voice? I thought that maybe it could be---naw, surely it wasn't---but then it could very likely be. So I spent nearly an hour trying to get that one operator back lit seems I got everyone but herb. But it was worth it, since I was right. Who else but Jean Huber would have worked herself up to Head Operator ibut why wouldn't she?D CHer nnumber please' was the most beautiful two words I ever heard.J We had a nice little chat and would you believe it--she's been married to Dale Van Slyke for close to six years and they have three little monsters Knot children? running around the house. It seems Dale is in the restaurant business so I decided to grab a bite at one of his chow-houses before leaving town. I grabbed a street-car CI d1dn't really grab it, it stopped for me? and nearly fell over to see that Wayne Craft was the driver. Ten years, hadn't changed his driving one bit 'cause he really made the sparks fly from the trolley line overhead. Well, we finally made it to the restaurant, and I was so nervous, when I finally got inside and sat down that the chef came out to see what in the world was shaking the building. By george, if that good- looking chef, with the spotless white cap on, was none other than Stephen Champlin. It seems he had been the Head Chef in the White House until--he mistakenly used POISON instead of salt. L Cwhat a name!!! She has been studying the German language in prepar- ation for this Kalthough, she always did talk EIQ latin in schoolll Judy told me that Donna Crawford and Ronnie S. are married and have two little boys. Ronnie is a dentist and Donna Egg his nurse till he pulled a tooth for her and she discovered what a really bad dentist he was! CI understand she takes her business elsewhere now.l Judy also told me that Bobby McWilliams is a bouncer at Shantilly Inn near Pleasanton. CThat used to be Shanty Inn, but I guess its grown into quite a business now.J After saying good-by to Judy and wishing her Bon Voyage, I went into the lobby where I had heard an awful commotion. Flash bulbs were flashing and reporters were asking quiestions right and left. I moved in for a closer look and there seated on top of her suitcases was the lovely movie star, Zsa Zsa Gabor. Standing next to her, acting like a hunter who had bagged his game, was her latest husband--oh no--J,D.-- Addleman. CBut why not, he always did have that suave, smooth--talking wolf tacticsll As soon as he spied me he rushed right over to greet me INATURALLY, making Zsa Zsa VERY Jealousll He only had time to tell me that Janie Ewbank was running a gam- bling casino in Las Vegas and making a fortune Conly trouble is-she spends it as fast as she makes it. She doesn't gamble in her own casino but in the one across the street--it pays higherll After J.D. left, I ran and bought a ticket for the first plane going to Amsterdam or Amoret. For you see, after seeing or hearing about all my old classmates--my nerves are in worse shape than when I started. My class mates are all as scatter-brained as they were at MHS I'm going home for a much needed rest. Que Drivers Janitors Cook and her little helpers 17,501 l
