They were: from Amoret Rosella Beebe, Ellen Bond, Leona Cole, Jane Ewbank, Jessie Mae Flemingi Marla Scrogham, Alice Short, Sherlee Taylor, Barbara VanBenthusen, Bo Swain, Wayne Craft, Jerre Ferrel, Larry Harper, Harry McCoy, Bobby Mc' Williams, Jesse Short. From Merwin--Donna Crawford, Joyce Case, Evelyn Cummings, Judy Fritts, Georgia Groves, Eileen Jackson, Evelyn JackS0Dr Vonda Kershner, Judith La Follette, Joann Roby, Donna Tillerys Elgine woodall, Jean Huber, Virginia Werntz, James Darrel Addleman, Stephen Champlin, Stanley Goode, Joe Lewis, Richard Mccar-dy, Mickey Mgburg' Leroy Roby, Charles Rankin, Phillip Trued, Pat Wiggins, Dale Vanvgykes We elected as our officers that year: President--Joyce Case, .Ice- President--Donna Crawford, Secretary R Treasure--Sherlee Ta7lUP2 Ra-5 porter--Judith La Follette, Sgt. At Arms--Jane Ewbank. During tha year Virginia Feezell from Drexel joined us to give us a total of UZ' Our Sophomore year Kl956-571 found us back again with the except' ion of Jessie Mae Fleming, Eileen Jackson, Roselle Beebe, Joe Lewis, Mickey Moburg, Leroy Roby, and Charles Rankin. We made up for one of our loses by the addition of Brenda Ross from Lawrence, Kansas. During that year Joann Roby, and Richard McCurdy left us. Our class officers for that year were: President--Leona Cole, Vice-President--Judy Frittsn Secretary 8 Treasure--Joyce Case, Reporter--Larry Harper, Asst. R6- porter--Bob Swain, Sgt. at Arms--Donna Crawford. We ended the Year with 36 members. Our Junior year 1957-53 found us back at good old M. H. S. with 33 members. During the summer we lost Marla Scrogham, Virginia Feezell, and Phillip Trued. During the year Jesse Short decided school wasn't for him. Our class officers that year were President--Bud Goode, Vice- President--Bob Swain, Secretary R Treasure--Donna Crawford, Reporter-- Joyce Case. 1958-59 found us back as Sophisticated Seniors ready for the last lap in their high school life. We started our Senior year with 29 members. Bob Leuthart came back to get his diploma. We lost Donna Tillery who got married. Our officers for that year were President-- James Darrel Addleman, Vice-President--Georgia Groves, Secretary R Treasure--Brenda Ross and Joyce Case, Reporter--Alice Faye Short, Sgtfm Arms--Bud Goode. We ended the year with 28 members. We are looking forward to the Senior Play, Junior-Senior Banquet, and our Senior Trip. INDIVIDUAL I-IISI VIRGINIA WERNTZ JACKSON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Werntz, was born OH April 13, l9h1 in Kansas. She came to Amsterdam from Olive Branch and when she was in the seventh grade she entered Merwin. She has gone to Miami the past four years. V1rg1nia's favorite pastime is pestering her husband, Raymond. Her pet peeve is the English Teacher, and her heart throb ls, of course, Raymond W. Jackson. Her greatest ambition is to own her own house. Her favorite food is Susie-Q and dill pickles, and her favorite TV program is any and all of them.
